This week Mandy convinces Cassi to help her move her broke ass washing machine out to the garage...so why not get high and slap on the lavaliere mics while we tackle the job? After the job is done a celebratory backyard smoke sesh takes place and old drunken stories are swapped. We're back on Monday release days you guys! Check out our Patreon page too because we have some special clips posted that weren't included in the show! Take a listen and enjoy the show, my lil almond snickers!

We Be Bloggin'

Updates and Shit

So it definitely goes without saying this has been a crazy summer for us. Between hurricanes, stealin' ass boyfriends, crazy slave hours at our day jobs, getting ready for/and also nearly flawlessly executing our show at the LA Podfest (minus the getting high and losing my phone and forgetting the camera part...), we've been some buy bees. But I didn't want you all thinking we're going anywhere, because we fuckin' ain't :p

We're going to start pushing for new podcast episodes to release every Monday now that our lives are slightly normal again. Once we have a dedicated studio again in the coming months we plan to bring back video of the episodes. We've been working on a lot of things behind the scenes for you guys, slowly but steadily we're getting there :)

Joey Diaz! :D

If you aren't a Patreon member yet, this week we have some special clips from recording in the car on the way to eat fancy ramen and see Joey Diaz at the Tampa Improv with our buddy Angie :) Shit was pretty funny so consider signing up so you can get access to all the bonus content we put out!

We had a super awesome time seeing Joey Diaz at the Tampa Improv! He called Mandy a sexy savage and me gorgeous (**blushes and bats eyelashes**), hugged us and took some pics. We told him thank you for being so fucking great and for inspiring us to keep podcasting. The Church was one of my OG podcasts when I first started getting into them, right along with JRE. I actually didn't even know what to say when he said, "thank you for podcasting!" That's one of the things I love about this medium of content creation. Sure, there's always some level of competition, but in the grand scheme of things there really isn't. No one is fighting for an 8:00 pm slot on network TV, you can listen to that shit any time you want. If someone likes spooky podcasts, chances are they're not going to find just one show they like in that genre and never seek out any others. They're likely to immerse themselves in the genre and listen to as many different podcasts as want to, especially during downtime when they're waiting for another show to post a new episode. Its a cool community to be a part of where a good chunk of the people really and genuinely want to see each other do well. Me gusta.

A lot of people still don't even know what podcasts are. If they don't, let them in on it. Invite them to be in the Cool Kid's Club. The old cubicle hag across from you might find a show she really gets into and stops pissing you off. Or better yet, her interest might get sparked and she'll start listening to something new. Then that will lead to another new show, and another. Little by little, podcast by podcast, her mind might start to open, her sense of humor may come back, she might start doing bong rips in her 2003 Nissan Maxima with the stuffed cats in the dash on her lunch break...then she just might wake up one day and ask herself, "what the fuck have I been doing this past 10 years? I hate this stupid ass job, I'm gonna do something I like." You might just help the world not suck as much. Get people away from the TV and introduce them to something new. Something where they can hear real people have real opinions, conversations and ideas. They don't have to agree with them, just so long as it makes them think or laugh or want to go out and research something.
